King Kong Megaways Demo
Return of Kong Megaways DEmo The Return of Kong Megaways is a beautifully crafted video slot from game developer Blueprint Gaming. Return of Kong Megaways™ is another impressive release by Blueprint Gaming, with a licence for the Megaways™ engine by Big time Gaming. The slot revisits the theme of Kong with a fresh approach, thanks to the Megaways™ engine, a fantastic look and feel and an innovative free spins feature. Return of Kong MegaWays: Demo. As usual for a video slot from Blueprint Gaming, there’s plenty to like about the design of Return of King MegaWays. A cartoon jungle forms the backdrop to the action. On the stone reel blocks you’ll see A to 9 royals plus birds, rhinos and tigers. As you’d expect, Kong is the top payer, offering wards. The name Forgotten Island Megaways conjures up the infamous beast King Kong, who resided on the uninvitingly named Skull Island. A land not only populated with enormous gorillas, but dinosaurs and all sort of outsized nasties. All41 has loosely based Forgotten Island Megaways on the classic tale, so it’s at the back of your mind while playing.
Adventure will often take place in places that are unexplored, where mystery is still alive, and what better place to go searching for a good story than on a long-lost island. Forgotten Island Megaways does exactly that, and this new Microgaming/All41 Studios release will rely on a King Kong like main character for the big role. With some very good features, but also with lower rewards than other slots using the same base mechanics, it remains to be seen if players will take a liking to it.
You’re going to find in Forgotten Island Megaways the same system as in other games that use this engine, so its 6 reels can get a maximum of 117,649 ways to win (Megaways). Form your winning combinations, and through Rolling Reels, Compass Wilds, Kong Spins and free spins with increasing multipliers, you could very well get close to the top jackpot worth 7,000x the stake ($140,000). RTP looks fine at 96.25%, though often enough we’ve seen it higher in Megaways slots.
Forgotten Island Megaways Betting and Prizes
Up to $20 can be used for your bets in Forgotten Island Megaways, but the starting point is much lower, at only $0.20 per spin.
The game allows you to skip the regular spins completely, and pay your way to the free spins, but it will cost you anywhere between 80x and 150x the stake. Depending on your investment, you get a different multiplier for the 10 free spins which follow (highest amount paid gets you 10 spins with either 5x or 10x starting multiplier).
Winning combinations pay very well, 50x the stake for the best symbol, and once you add up all its ways to win and multipliers, it’s not a surprise that it can give up to 7,000x the stake per spin. In fact, I’d expect it to do even better, as it’s one of the lowest paying games at this level.

A game with high volatility, it keeps a reasonable RTP in the long run, at 96.25%.
Slot Features
When you’re forming combinations in a slot like Forgotten Island Megaways, you’re using a random number of symbols on each reel, and so the number of active lines/ways to win changes all the time. Using the symbols from the reels, along with a horizontal reel from the top, you can get to 117,649 Megaways at most (no guarantee that they will actually have winning combinations on them though).
If you manage to form those new wins, the Rolling Reels mechanic comes next. You will get the winning symbols removed, others will land to replace them, and the waves of new wins can continue.
A bit of help may come via the Compass symbol, acting as a substitute when it’s included in new combinations. The downside is that you don’t get it in the main game area, only on the horizontal reel from the top (above the reels 2-5).
Kong Spins are important, and even though they’re completely random, their impact can be huge. They trigger for random winning spins, applying an initial multiplier of up to 10x (the others are 2x, 3x or 5x). The Rolling Reels which follow give 1x boosts to this multiplier and this can continue for as long as possible, no limits.
Another major feature will be the one delivering free spins. With 10, 12 or 14 rounds offered if you get 4, 5 or 6 scattered Kong icons, there is also a starting multiplier of 2x. This one also goes up by 1x, as you form combinations, and it keeps rising as you advance through the free spins. Should you retrigger the feature, the multiplier remains and it has no upper limit.

Theme & Design
It’s an adventure game, and it’s taking us to a lost island. We see the jungle image in the background, Kong the ape next to the reels, and plenty of adventure related icons in the game area. Quality wise, it’s looking great, a modern slot machine that’s well above many of the other Megaways titles (which will often look like they’re trying to win a Who’s Uglier contest).

As symbols, the Royals (9-A) get you started and can provide you with smaller wins, but the basis should be on the top symbols (Journal, Oil Lamp, Grapple Hook, Skull), plus Kong (scatter) and Compass (wild).
Conclusion
Forgotten Island Megaways delivers great graphics and the expected cool features with multipliers that have a lot of potential. It’s just a shame that the potential is not visible in the game’s top jackpot, which is limited to 7,000x the stake.

WHERE TO PLAY Return of Kong MegaWays SLOT
Go hunting for a big beast of a jackpot in the jungle kingdom of nature’s flashiest monkey. Return of Kong MegaWays is a 6 reel, cascading reels video slot from Blueprint Gaming where the number of ways to win can reach a mighty 117,649. The highlight of this slapstick safari is the Free Spins feature that awards free spins where each reaction win increases a multiplier. Play on your PC, tablet or mobile from between 10p and £10 per spin.
As usual for a video slot from Blueprint Gaming, there’s plenty to like about the design of Return of King MegaWays. A cartoon jungle forms the backdrop to the action. On the stone reel blocks you’ll see A to 9 royals plus birds, rhinos and tigers. As you’d expect, Kong is the top payer, offering wards of up to 50 times your bet per winning combination.

There’s also a wild that replaces all of the standard symbols. Land a winning combination and the Cascading Symbols feature kicks in – this removes the winning symbols and drops new ones in to replace them. The number of symbols on each reel can change with each spin too. As can the number of MegaWays. If all 6 reels reach their maximum height, you’ll have 117,649 ways to create a winner.
Kong’s medallions are the scatters. Spell out the word K.O.N.G with those scatters to trigger the Free Spins feature. You’ll then receive 12 free spins (plus extras if you landed more medallions on that triggering spin).
The mechanic is slightly different during the feature. After each ‘reaction’, the Unlimited Win Multiplier applies with the multiplier increasing by 1 (with no limits). This multiplier doesn’t revert to the standard 1x after a losing free spin either. It remains the same or goes higher. Look out for monkey icon symbols – 3 of them activate the Golden Monkeys feature. This can lead to an increase of the number of guaranteed MegaWays live on each free spin or add extra free spins to your total.
King Kong Megaways Demo Update
Kong can also trigger the Mystery Kong feature in the base game. The mighty monkey lobs up to 100 barrels onto the reels. These barrels then transform into the same symbol and can create some big winning clusters. These mystery barrels are in play throughout the Free Spins feature too.
King Kong Megaways Demon
We’re in familiar MegaWays territory with Return of Kong MegaWays. The sound and visuals are well constructed and have a light-hearted, cartoonish feel. The gameplay is pretty solid and just what we’ve come to expect from a MegaWays title. The highlight is the free spins round where the multipliers can do their stuff if you get on a roll – up to 50,000 times your bet on each of them. As far as volatility goes, we’re in the medium to high range.
This is just what we’d expect from a game of this type from Blueprint Gaming. The design is as high-end as you’d expect and the gameplay ticks all the usual boxes. If you enjoy MegaWays video slots, then Return of Kong MegaWays is worth investigating. If you like the theme, NextGen Gaming’s Gorilla Go Wilder would be my choice.
